We’re continuing with our theme for this month on the blog and podcast which is holiday PD for teachers AND back to school ideas to tie in with extended summer break that’s happening right now in the northern hemisphere.
In the previous episodes for this month I shared some free online music tech webinars that you can take at any time of the year (episode 81) and talked about some must-read music tech books (in episode 82).
This episode is going to be about creating your own awesome teaching resources using software you already know and love (well…maybe not “love”!).

Want more tech resources for music teachers?
Hello! I’m Katie Wardrobe – an Australian music technology trainer and consultant with a passion for helping music teachers through my business Midnight Music.
I’m a qualified teacher but no, I don’t currently teach in a school. I help teachers through my online professional development space – the Midnight Music Community – where there are tutorial videos, courses, links and downloadable resources.

I like to focus on easy ways to incorporate technology into what you are already doing in your music curriculum through a range of creative projects. I also run live workshops and have presented at countless conferences and other music education events.
If you want simple, effective ideas for using technology in music education, I would LOVE to help you inside the Midnight Music Community.

Hi Katie, I attended the Online course “Music Tech Lessons” on Thu 25 July, but haven’t received the PD certificate as yet. Your links to PD certificates on this site go to “Page Not Found” unfortunately!
Do I have to pay the yearly subscription to access the courses listed above? eg would loved to have seen the “How to Create Awesome Teaching Resources” program. Hopefully you may run some more of those!
Hi Kathryn! Sorry to hear you had problems getting the PD certificate. I’ll ask Michelle (customer support) to email you so she can sort it out for you. The “Create Awesome Teaching Resources” webinar has been made available for free and you can sign up for that here. The other free training webinars can be found on this page and there are lots of others if you join the paid online community at some stage.
